This is the new flag that I made for West Virginia. I looked up many facts about the state and used some of the facts. The diagonal black triangle represents a mountain. It is as if a camera were close to a mountain and you can not see the peak and you can also not see the base. West Virginia is known as the mountain state. The blue color represents the sky and you cannot see any land. This because West Virginia is on the coast and it is high above the sea level. Finally in this project, there is a red circle that is in the top blue part of the flag. There was a battle in West Virginia that happened and this represents a cannonball flying through the air. The reason why it is red is because it represents the blood of the fallen soldiers of that battle. I had a simple idea for a flag in mind when I made this one.
